Dear Luxe Member:
It’s hard to believe we are only weeks away from the
Holiday season, and the end of a very successful year! We
anticipate increased revenues in the coming year, based on
lodging industry statistics recently released. All the signs
are there for a steady increase in ADR, as well as occupancy
levels.
You recently received the 2006 calendar for trade shows and
sales missions. Please mark your calendars to join the Luxe
team for these valuable sales opportunities.
When you browse through this issue of the President’s
Letter, you will see that we have been busy developing new
opportunities for our Luxe members. From the newly created
electronic version of our Member Directory, to the Member’s
Only Luxe Passport, an on-line resource guide to all Luxe
member benefits and services scheduled to be launched in early
January, we continue to create the tools to help you maximize
your Luxe experience.
My very best wishes to all for a Happy, Healthy and
Prosperous Holiday Season and New Year.
Efrem Harkham
President and CEO Luxe Worldwide Hotels

MATCH YOUR
CONSORTIA RATES! |
|
We would like to take this opportunity to stress the
importance and ask our member hotels to guarantee
travel agents that your consortia rates will always
match the hotel's best available rate in order to be
more competitive with the transparent rates offered by travel
web sites.
Your static Consortia rates are established 16 to 18 months
in advance and are no longer acceptable in today's dynamic
economy. The concept of Consortia rates now strikes many as
unrealistic in today's internet pricing environment.
Pricing in the business today is so dynamic that it needs
to be an ongoing process. Negotiated rates should remain
the MOST effective.
The best available rate is the market-appropriate rate for
that day. If a discount rate is involved, the system will
compute it automatically. We will set up the ability to
"link" the consortia rates to the lowest available rate so you
will only need to manage the lowest rate - the consortia rate
will automatically change with it!
We kindly ask your cooperation in this matter with the
anticipation of the positive results it may bring. Please
email your acceptance of the program to MARK ABRAHAM at mark@luxehotels.com.
