NEW LUXE MEMBERS

BROADCAST YOUR PROMOTIONS!

Dear Luxe Member:

2005 began with a flurry of activity that included sales missions, exhibitions, and public relations campaigns.

Later in this issue, you will read the details of our successful sales activity. Our public relations efforts were rewarded with a feature article about Luxe Worldwide Hotels in the UK's premiere hospitality industry publication, Hotel Management International. We were also featured in a recent issue of Hotels Magazine. Both articles will help the Luxe brand gain global industry recognition. The articles are great tools for distribution to travel agents we meet, and for corporate client communications.

A review of January 2005 vs. January 2004 revenues, ADR's, and occupancy levels illustrates amazing increases throughout the Luxe membership. Averages included a 74.52% increase in room nights, a 6.67% ADR increase, and a tremendous 86.15% increase in room revenues! Some individual hotel increases have topped an amazing 400% growth.

I encourage you to utilize all the revenue-generating services Luxe offers, sign up for the consortias, and take advantage of our marketing tools such as the broadcast email lists and attendance at trade shows. Our greatest hope is to show record- breaking success for each and every Luxe member.

Please read through this issue of our newsletter for additional Luxe benefits.

Best wishes,

Efrem Harkham
President and CEO
Luxe Worldwide Hotels

  • SALES MISSIONS AND EXHIBITIONS
By Roselyn Cosentino, VP Sales & Marketing and Lucia Sirotich, Associate Director of Sales
  • 2004 culminated with our participation in the LUXURY TRAVEL EXPO in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 7-9. Roselyn, representing all Luxe properties, was joined this year by representatives from many Luxe hotel members, including Canyon Ranch, Hotel La Jolla, Dylan Hotel, Lenox Suites, Austria Haus, Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort, the Stoneleigh, and Lake San Marcos Resort. The Luxury Travel Expo, now in it's sixth year, provides suppliers a venue to network with the leaders in the luxury travel market.

The first months of the New Year were filled with many sales activities here in the States and around the world. In January Luxe escorted Bryan Gabriel, General Manager of the Establishment Hotel in Sydney, to many of the top travel agencies in Los Angeles. In conjunction with his visit, Bryan hosted a cocktail reception at the Luxe on Rodeo Drive. Accompanying Bryan on the Los Angeles tour was Fiona Rose, Luxe VP Business Development Australia & New Zealand. Luxe also welcomed representatives from Canyon Ranch who visited Los Angeles for sales calls in January.

Luxe participated along with the Dylan Hotel (NY) in FITUR, Spain's annual forum for the tourism and travel sector, and BIT in Milan Italy.

Members of the Luxe team participated in Meeting Professionals International's (MPI) 2005 PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FORUM - North America, held in San Diego and used this opportunity to promote all Luxe member hotels.

A very successful sales mission to New York with an extension to Washington DC took place in February with calls to the most important travel & corporate agencies in New York. Accompanying Roselyn on these visits were the Hotel La Jolla, Stoneleigh Hotel, Hotel Monticello, Wales Hotel, Dylan Hotel, Buckingham Hotel and for the first time, Rafaelhoteles of Spain, one of Luxe's newest members.

Mr. Gonzalo Ocejo, Director of International Sales for the Rafaelhoteles writes, "I only have two words for everything you did for me this past week in New York: THANK YOU. I have you to thank for introducing me to all the key people in the main accounts which will hopefully bring lots of business to my hotels I also have you to thank for the wonderful way you treated me while being in a foreign country. I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the Luxe team in Spain very soon."

The upcoming months will be filled with many opportunities to promote your property at trade shows such as the Addison Travel Tradeshows, ITME & The Motivation Show, Luxury Travel Expo, World Travel Market, and sales missions to Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, and New York, targeting the most important and profitable sectors of the marketplace globally. Click here for a complete list of upcoming events. Maximize your hotel's sales potential and your revenue growth by participating with Luxe in these outstanding travel forums.

Special Note: If you have attended or been represented at a local, regional, national or international trade show that was particularly successful and you think might be of interest to Luxe or any of our members, please be sure to let us know.
